Antique silver and gold tone brooch with central red rhinestone, very unusual with beautiful repousse intricate design

Large vintage ornate antique silver and gold tone brooch with a single red princess cut (square) rhinestone. In this piece, I love the three dimensional quality of the design - it is so detailed in the construction and in the beautiful organic repousse work. I am two minds about whether the original brooch was all silver plated and the gold tone sections have simply had the silver worn down. I am more inclined to think that the gold tone accents, particularly the 'X' shapes were intentionally gold in colour.

This brooch has a length of about 2.5 inches and a width of 1 7/8 inches. It fastens with a simple 'C' hook clasp and pin on the reverse. It is in good vintage condition.
