Antique real cultured pearl choker necklace, pearls graduated in size, hand-knotted, pretty sterling silver clasp, classic chic

Beautiful choker length string of real cultured pearls, fastening with a beautiful engraved sterling silver and real pearl fish hook clasp. Each bead is individually hand-knotted and the quality is excellent.

The beads are graduated in size and the necklace has a slim choker length of about 15 inches. This is a classic, staple wardrobe piece that is a gorgeous gift to be given, instantly becoming a family heirloom! The last picture shows Grace Kelly wearing a similar necklace.

These pearls are old and I believe were cultured in sea water - they are certainly not the freshwater pearls that are available quite cheaply from China and other Asian countries. The real pearl embellished fish hook clasp is stamped with maker's initials (JKa - I believe for JKa Kohle of Pforzheim, Germany) and 925 for sterling silver on the reverse. It weighs 11 grams overall.

The necklace is in very good vintage condition.
