Antique French jet pressed glass bracelet - Victorian Vauxhall glass, two central glass cameos and faceted chunky beads

Beautiful, antique black Vauxhall glass French jet pressed glass bracelet from the Victorian era. It has two unusual central glass cameo oval beads and the rest around the wrist are chunky faceted black glass panels. It is presented here in the black velvet presentation box as pictured.

Victorian French jet jewellery was inspired by pieces of mourning jewellery, which were made popular during this period as it was Queen Victoria's only jewellery following the death of her beloved husband.

The bracelet has a length of about 8 inches and fastens with a simple, handcrafted hook clasp in a silver tone metal. It is in very good vintage condition, especially considering its age and the fragility of the glass - there are some minor nibbles and the glass has uneven edges that were obviously there from being pressed.
