Antique French jet fringe necklace - Victorian Vauxhall glass, black faceted glass jet stones

Beautiful antique Vauxhall glass French jet riviere necklace from the Victorian era, with beautiful fringe section with glass drops. Victorian French jet jewellery was inspired by pieces of mourning jewellery, which was made popular during this period as it was Queen Victoria's only jewellery following the death of her beloved husband.

This necklace has a large number of flat back faceted French jet stones, each mounted on a circular panel, which I believe are painted black on the backs with some kind of black enamel paint. The front section has gorgeous large drops with glass pieces. The necklace is in very good vintage condition, especially considering its age. I can't see any chips or losses to the glass pieces.
