This type of glass is amazing as in the natural light, it is a vibrant yellow \/ light green colour. However under UV lights, the glass gives off a 'radioactive' looking glow. These beads are smooth and spherical in a 'pools of light' style. They are individually hand-knotted on matching yellowy green thread. There are some pretty small beads and cut steel style beads on either side of the clasp.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUranium glass is glass which has had uranium, usually in oxide diuranate form, added to a glass mix before melting. The proportion usually varies from trace levels to about 2% uranium by weight.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a fun piece to be wearing in a club or party with UV lights. The necklace fastens with a silver tone screw barrel clasp and has a length of about 17 inches.
