The beads are gently graduated in size with the largest at the front.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe green beads look like they are some sort of gemstone and, despite not being a gemologist or gemstone expert, for me they have more characteristics of jadeite or nephrite than aventurine. I have seen antique Burmese jade beads that look exactly the same. The clear, faceted beads are either glass or rock crystal. Again, apologies that I cannot give a guarantee for either. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe beads have been strung individual silver tone wired sections. The necklace has a length of about 17 inches and fastens with a gold tone beehive screw clasp. This type of clasp was used often in jewellery made in France by the Louis Rousselet brand. However, this piece is not a Rousselet piece, I am fairly confident.
